J R Higgins is a native of Long Beach Island and has been in the building business for over 30 years. New construction, renovations, decks, or home repair - he does it all! After starting his education at the University of Maryland in architecture, J R decided he'd rather build houses than draw them. Due to his education, J R is able to guide his customers to maximize their square footage and design the best traffic flow throughout their home. Above all, he has the patience to listen to questions and concerns and help find solutions.

J R's hobbies include buying handyman specials and fixing them up for resale. When he is not with "hammer-in-hand" you will find him somewhere on the water with "fishing-pole-in-hand."
